Nick Carter and Wife Lauren Kitt Announce They’re Expecting a Rainbow Baby After Losing a Baby Last Year

Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and his wife, Lauren Kitt Carter, announced they’re having a second child after losing a baby to a miscarriage.

Back in March, in honor of International Women’s Day, Lauren opened up about her devastating loss by posting a photo of her ultrasound alongside a caption on Instagram.

On “what would have been [her] due date,” Lauren said she wanted to talk about the painful subject of miscarriage because as “women and parents,” sometimes people “suffer in silence.”

She continued her post by saying the subject is often “shameful” because:

As a woman I am supposed to create life and when failing to do so feels like failure as a human. I accept circumstances out of our control and I’ve moved on from my losses, days like today remind me just how fortunate I am to have a healthy child and how BADASS women are.

She continued:

If you are struggling to start a family or have had a loss this post is for you, you’re not alone and there is always hope.

Her husband, Nick, said their little girl who passed away “was a little sister for Odin.”

Months later, the couple who desperately wanted a second child so that their 3-year-old son, Odin Reign, could become a big brother shared some good news with fans.

Less than a year since Nick, 39, and Lauren were pregnant with a little girl, they announced they’re expecting a rainbow baby.

Nick wrote:

Thank You God for giving us the greatest gift we could ever ask for. #pregnant #werepregnant#babykisses #happiness #family

Lauren said a day in the park turned into an “impromptu family” photo shoot and baby reveal.

However, the couple hasn’t revealed when their baby is due.
